2025 Slingshot Orientation


This video is meant to familiarize the rider with the location of information and components on a Polaris Slingshot.

This video looks at the:

  • 0:27 Front of the vehicle (headlights, accent lights, LED lightbar: the hood release lever is located underneath the center LED light in the lower grill. Pull upward to unlatch the hood; then pull back on the underside of the hood above the center LED lamp to open the hood).  
  • 0:44 Behind the hood release lever (radiator).
  • 0:47 Front of the engine bay area (headlight adjustment screws, air filter, secondary fuse box).
  • 0:57 Driver’s side of the engine bay area (brake fluid reservoir, fuse panel, maintenance sticker).
  • 1:08 Center of the engine bay (ignition coils, which sit over the spark plugs, engine oil fill cap, engine oil dipstick, AMT fluid reservoir).
  • 1:23 Passenger side of the engine bay (coolant overflow bottle, battery).
  • 1:31 Interior (adjustable seats: there is a lever on the bottom of each seat to allow forward and backward movement and a lever on the side to allow the back to tilt).
  • 1:42 Tilt each seat forward to access the storage compartments (the compartments can be locked using the key that comes with the vehicle).
  • 1:52 Driver’s seat (driver side mirror, digital gauge with mode and navigation buttons, tilting steering wheel, turn signal lever with high beam controls, paddle shifters).
  • 2:20 Steering wheel (horn, control buttons).
    • The audio controls on the left side (two volume buttons, two track navigation buttons, and a play or pause button).
    • The control buttons on the right side (resume or increase cruise control speed, set or reduce cruise control speed, enable cruise control, switch RIDE COMMAND menu screens, and enable Slingshot Mode).
  • 2:54 Driver side footwell (speakers).
  • 2:57 Front of the center dash (windshield).
  • 3:00 Center dash (7” display powered by RIDE COMMAND, engine start/stop button, electronic stability switch, hazard switch, interior light switch, center storage tray, and the USB port).
  • 3:24 Below the center dash (gear selector with Reverse, Neutral, Drive and Manual modes, cupholders, another storage compartment under the arm rest, and a parking brake). 
  • 3:41 Between the seats (accessory power socket, battery charge port).
  • 3:48 Passenger side (passenger side mirror, a lockable glovebox, and another accessory power socket and a USB port inside the glovebox). 
  • 4:02 Passenger footwell (tab to open and close the air vent). 
  • 4:07 Also, on the passenger side (grab handle and speakers).
  • 4:11 Back of the vehicle (drive belt and shock on the passenger side of the rear wheel, backup camera, tail and brake lights). 
  • 4:25 Fuel cap is (on the body behind the driver’s seat). 
  • 4:30 Front headlights (auto on/off control, high beams).
  • 4:36 Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) label locations.
