Hey guys, Jake here, back with another episode of "Slingshot Under the Hood." Have you ever wondered what the difference is between all of our models, S, SL, SLR, and R? Well, you're going to find out today.
So our Slingshot lineup has four core models, S, SL, SLR, and R, each purpose-built to meet different customers' wants and needs. And what we do is add different features that ramp up what customers love: style, performance, and tech. And we're going to walk you through that today.
To kick off our core lineup, we have the S model. It is the purest form of Slingshot. We start with that 180-horsepower tuned ProStar 2.0-liter engine, a great way to get in and have fun. But we also have that standard cruise control, traction control, the standard stability control, and standard ABS to give you the confidence and control out on the road. But we wanted to make sure you have the style, the performance, and the tech. So we have the Rockford Fosgate standard audio system, Stage 1, to start off with a great system. This thing is a ton of fun on the road, and it's a great way to get into Slingshot and customize it if you want.
The next model in our core lineup is the SL, where we give you more style and tech. Starting up front, we give you metal badging, graphics, and awesome SL wheels. But we do a lot in the interior for both style and tech. Come check it out. First, we start with the steering wheel. As soon as you grab it, you can tell—nice leather-wrapped steering wheel. And then also, we give you more style with the silver bezel and more functionality at your fingertips. So we give you audio controls, and then we also give you ride modes. So we have two modes, as I mentioned in the past. We have comfort mode and Slingshot mode.
You can access it with this red button here, the Slingshot button, or through the display. But great upgrade for SL model that wants more comfort, more premium feel, and more access at your fingertips. And what are we accessing? We're accessing this awesome seven-inch Ride Command display. So what we do is we give you vehicle information, audio control, and other functionality right at your fingertips. We also give you an upgraded Stage 2 audio system, which gives you more power and more sound to better hear your tunes. The SL model also comes with a backup camera. This is a great model that a lot of you guys choose because you start with the S model and add more style, more tech, and a refined interior.
The next model in our core lineup is the model I have in my garage at home right now, and it's this SLR model. And what we do is we turn up the performance. We take that ProStar 2.0-liter engine and add 24 horsepower from 180 to 204, but we also add more torque, up to 149 foot-pounds. So it is max performance of that engine, and we give you other things to put all that power to the ground. So out back, we give you a 305-width rear tire. It is awesome, and it makes sure that you can put as much traction to the ground as you can. And we also give you sport bucket seats. We increase the side bolstering, so as you're having fun in the twisties, you're supported, and you're confident and in control.
Next, we turn up the style. So we add the full front fascia. We give you painted side winglets, lower accent lightings, and it gives you that stance, and the full-width fascia so people know when you're coming, you're driving an SLR. We also give you two-tone paint. This one's the Blue Rush and the Black. We also have Mirage Gray and Black, but a great two-tone with silver
accents. And that really goes well with the machined honeycomb five-spoke wheels. We added those to SLR, and it goes great with this color scheme. And we keep turning up the style on the interior. We give you black accent lightings on the steering wheel and on the center console switches, as well as an upgraded shift knob for manuals and painted accents for the AutoDrive. And then finally, we give you more audio. We take our Stage 2 and turn it up to Stage 2 Max. We give you eight-inch speakers up front. And so when you turn it up to 11 on your stereo system, you can hear it awesome on the highway. So SLR, performance, style, audio, makes a great combo and a great Slingshot model.
And at the top of the core lineup, it's this R model. It brings the most style, the most performance, and the most technology. Starting at the front end, we have a fully painted front fascia with front splitters. So it gives you that bold stance. Then we keep going with the vented sport hood. We brought this out a few years ago, and it looks awesome with the hood scoop and the vents in the top of the hood. But it improves aerodynamics and airflow, so you're cooler in the cockpit. And as we keep going, we add the forged roll hoops. We launched these when we first launched Slingshot, and they look great on this R model. We also dial up the tech. On the seven-inch Ride Command, we add Apple CarPlay and onboard navigation.
We have the shift paddles when you get the AutoDrive. And then we can't forget about the Brembo brakes. So we turned up the performance on SLR, but on R, we add those Brembos for better stopping feel. This R model dials up everything. It's the best combo of performance, tech, and style straight from the factory.
So we walked you through the details of the Slingshot core lineup, starting with S, the purest form of Slingshot and a great place to get started and make it your own. For SL, we dial up the tech and comfort. SLR, we upgrade that performance and then enhance the style and audio with it. And then finally, the R model. Max style, max performance, and max technology.
