What this VIN search tool covers:
- Safety recalls that are incomplete on a vehicle.
- Safety recalls conducted over the past 15 calendar years.
What this VIN search tool does NOT cover:
- International vehicles.
- Safety recalls that are more than 15 years old.
Here's a guide to reading the results of your On-Road Safety Recall search.
Your search results will display your VIN, the number of recalls associated with the vehicle and when the search was last updated. Then it will display the following:
Recall Summary: A brief description of the recall or bulletin.
Recall Number: The identifying number for the bulletin.
Remedy: What is required to complete the bulletin.
Service Completed: "APPLIED" indicates the bulletin was completed. "UNAPPLIED" means it has not been completed. "APPLIED_ON_ANOTHER_SB" indicates the bulletin was completed while addressing a different bulletin.
Dealer Contact: Directs you to the nearest dealer.
Consumer Contact: Provides contact information for Customer Service.
