License Requirements By State

The classification of the Polaris Slingshot is state-dependent. The most common classification is autocycle, which only requires a state drivers license. One state classifies the Slingshot as a motorcycle, which requires a motorcycle endorsement or license.

See your state laws for full details.

Even if your home state only requires a standard drivers license to operate a Slingshot, you should check with local authorities regarding your ability to operate a Slingshot with a standard drivers license in other states.
